Our Lady of the Rosary School Kenmore is delighted to announce the preliminary NAPLAN results for 2024, showcasing the exceptional achievements of our students in Numeracy and Reading.
Principal Paul Rees shared his excitement, stating, "We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the phenomenal results of our students and staff in this year's preliminary NAPLAN assessments. The outcomes are a testament to the dedication, hard work, and commitment within the OLR community."
In Year 3, our students demonstrated remarkable proficiency in both Numeracy and Reading. An impressive 78% exceeded expectations in Numeracy, while 76% excelled in Reading, reflecting their strong foundational skills.
The trend of excellence continued into Year 5, where our students achieved outstanding results. A remarkable 96% showed strong and exceeding proficiency in Numeracy, showcasing their advanced mathematical skills. Additionally, 89% demonstrated exceeding and strong proficiency in Reading, highlighting their strong comprehension and literacy abilities.
"These remarkable results reflect the dedicated efforts of our students. Their hard work, perseverance, and determination have truly paid off, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments," said Paul.
He added, "Special recognition is due to our dedicated team of educators and support staff. Their unwavering commitment to creating a nurturing and enriching learning environment has been crucial to our students' success."
As we celebrate these outstanding achievements, we are reminded of our school motto, “To know, love, and serve.” These results not only inspire but also motivate us to continue our journey of learning and growth. While we take pride in our accomplishments, we remain focused on continuous improvement and are committed to supporting our students in their academic pursuits and equipping them with the necessary tools and resources to thrive.
